About: Jewish Community Services, in partnership with CUNY Hillel, supports emotional wellbeing of Jewish students and peers across CUNY campuses through the Wellness Hub. The intern works full-time onsite providing short-term counseling, group support, psychoeducation, and community engagement.

Key Functions:

• Provide short-term supportive counseling (weekly/biweekly individual sessions)
• Carry a student caseload with goal-focused interventions
• Conduct psychosocial assessments
• Maintain timely documentation, case notes, and database tracking
• Support warm handoffs and linkages to therapy, psychiatry, and community services
• Co-facilitate groups, workshops, and wellness-based programming
• Help co-run fellowships and student engagement opportunities

Requirements:

• Open to 1st year MSW students
• Strong interest in working with young adults/college students
• Comfortable with clinical work and informal engagement/outreach
• Jewish-identified students preferred
• Full-time onsite placement
• One evening per week required until 7:00 PM
